Amy Brown has
been paddling for just about her entire life, first climbing
into a kayak when she was five years old. She grew up in a
paddling family and spent almost ten years racing in
whitewater slalom, including three years on the US Junior
National Slalom Team. Her experience
includes seven years teaching and guiding for the Nantahala
Outdoor Center, Adventure Travel trips in Mexico, Panama and
Costa Rica, extreme racing and multi-day river trips.
|
The lure of glaciers and huge mountains drew
her west, where she now lives and paddles in Bellingham, WA.
When she's not whitewater paddling or telemark skiing, she
coordinates and leads wilderness conservation trips for
under-served high school kids for North Cascades Institute.
